Currently, he is the Commissioner at Bhagalpur Division, Bihar, a position he has held since December 30, 2025. His previous roles include Commissioner and District Magistrate & Collector. Proficient in English and Hindi, Avaneesh Kumar Singh continues to serve in the IAS, contributing to administrative functions within Bihar.
