Asok Kumar Chauhan, born on November 9, 1955, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1980 Bihar cadre. He holds postgraduate degrees in Chemistry and Business Administration, along with a graduate degree in Chemistry. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Director, Principal Secretary, Divisional Commissioner, Commissioner and Secretary, Additional Finance Commissioner, Managing Director, Vice Chairman, Special Secretary, Rehabilitation Commissioner, District Collector and Magistrate, among others. His most recent position was Development Commissioner Secretary in the Department of Planning and Programme Implementation from January 6 to January 12, 2015.
