Asit Kumar Tripathy, born on 23 December 1960, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1986 Odisha cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Political Science from Sambalpur University and completed his postgraduate and M.Phil. studies in Political Systems at Jawaharlal Nehru University. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Secretary, Development Commissioner Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Joint Secretary, Chairman, Managing Director, and Commissioner & Secretary. His most recent position was Chief Secretary to the Government in the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department from 19 August 2019 to 31 December 2020.
