Asit Kumar Tripathy, born on 23 December 1960, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1986 Odisha cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Political Science from Sambalpur University, and a postgraduate degree and M.Phil. in Political Studies and Political Systems from Jawaharlal Nehru University. He served as Chief Secretary to the Government in the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department from 19 August 2019 to 31 December 2020. Throughout his career, he held various positions including Secretary, Development Commissioner Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Joint Secretary, Chairman, Managing Director, and Commissioner & Secretary.
