Ashwani Kumar, born on December 2, 1963, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1987 Maharashtra cadre. He holds an M.B.A. in Business Administration and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Municipal Commissioner, Managing Director, Commissioner, and Principal Secretary. His most recent position was Additional Chief Secretary at Mumbai, Maharashtra, in the Revenue and Forest Department. Kumar’s extensive experience spans roles such as Secretary, Chairman & Managing Director, Associate Professor, and Deputy Secretary, reflecting a diverse and accomplished administrative tenure.
