Ashok Ranjan Mohanty, born on 15 May 1958, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1985 Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds graduate and postgraduate degrees in Geology. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Sub Collector, Executive Officer, Managing Director, Additional Secretary Director, Secretary, Special Secretary, Commissioner, and Additional Collector. His most recent position was Secretary in the State Human Rights Commission from 29 July 2013 to 31 May 2018. Mr. Mohanty’s extensive administrative experience spans multiple leadership roles within the Tamil Nadu government.
