Ashok Kumar Singh, born on 29 March 1949, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1990 batch of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a Graduate degree in Science, a postgraduate degree in History, and an LL.B. in Law. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Commissioner, Secretary, Special Secretary, Director, and District Magistrate. His most recent position was Secretary at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, from 21 September 2007 to 31 March 2009, within the Department of Planning and Programme Implementation.
