Ashok Kumar Gupta, born on 26 October 1957, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1981 Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delhi, a Diploma in Business Administration from Indira Gandhi National Open University, and a Certificate in French. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Special Secretary, Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, Managing Director, and District Magistrate. His most recent position was Secretary in the Department of Defence Production from 25 May 2015 to 31 October 2017.
