Ashok Kumar Gupta, born on 17 September 1955, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1992 Punjab cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Economics and a postgraduate degree in English Literature. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Deputy Secretary, Additional Secretary, Additional Director, Deputy Commissioner, Commissioner, Managing Director, and Secretary. His most recent position was Secretary of the Youth Services and Sports Department from 10 October 2014 to 30 September 2015. Mr. Gupta’s extensive experience spans multiple administrative roles within the Punjab cadre during his tenure in the IAS.
