Ashok Ghosh, born on 15 August 1954, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1980 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Economics and a graduate degree in Economics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Principal Secretary, Secretary, Resident Commissioner, Editor, Director, Special Secretary, District Magistrate, District Collector, Joint Secretary, Project Director, and Executive Magistrate. His most recent position was Principal Secretary in the Department of Textiles from 3 July 2013 to 31 August 2014. Mr. Ghosh's extensive service reflects a diverse administrative experience within the Indian bureaucracy.
