Ashish Upadhyay, born on 24 September 1964, is a 1989 batch IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre. He holds an M.A. in History from Agra University, an LL.B. from Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur, and an M.A. in Economics from Jiwaji University, Gwalior. Currently, he serves as Secretary at the National Commission for Backward Classes under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, New Delhi (01/01/2024 - 30/09/2024).
