Ashish Kundra, born on March 6, 1973, is a 1996 batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre. He holds a B.Tech. in Electronics and is currently serving as the Chief Secretary at Ladakh since January 1, 2026. Throughout his career, he has held multiple key positions including Principal Secretary to the Lt. Governor, Principal Secretary with additional equivalent roles, Chief Electoral Officer, Commissioner & Secretary in various departments, Private Secretary, OSD to Minister, Additional Secretary, Additional CEO, Director, Registrar, Joint Secretary, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Punjabi.
