Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Joint Municipal Commissioner, Joint Secretary, Additional Secretary, and Secretary. His most recent position was Secretary of the Food Processing Industries and Horticulture Department from August 16, 2013, to August 31, 2014. Mr. Thakur’s extensive service in administrative roles reflects his commitment to public administration within the West Bengal cadre.
