Ashish Kumar Goel, born on 12 February 1973, is a 1995 batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from B R Ambedkar University Agra and an M.Sc in Public Management & Governance from the London School of Economics & Political Science. Currently, he serves as Chairman at Water Electric Corporation, Lucknow, since 27 July 2023. His past roles include Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, Commissioner, Secretary, Managing Director, Project Director, District Magistrate, Additional Commissioner, Special Secretary, and Chief Development Officer. He received the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration in 2020. He is proficient in English and Hindi
