Ashish Chatterjee, born on 21 February 1973, is a 1999 batch Indian Administrative Service officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a B.Tech. degree and is currently serving as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Steel since 18 April 2025. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Resident Commissioner, Joint Secretary, Private Secretary to Minister of State, Director, District Collector and Magistrate, Deputy Commissioner, Joint Commissioner, Sub Collector, Assistant Collector, Principal Secretary/Commissioner, and Managing Director of TRIFED. He is proficient in English and Hindi.
