Ashish Chandra Verma, born on 12 June 1969, is a 1994 batch IAS officer of the A G M U T cadre. He holds an M.B.B.S. degree and is proficient in English and Hindi. Currently, he serves as the Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) at the Tourism Department, J&K, since 12 July 2025. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Principal Secretary, Chairman, Managing Director, Secretary & Commissioner, Director, Private Secretary, Registrar, Member, Additional Secretary, Additional Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, and Deputy Collector. He continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
