Asheesh Sharma, born on 25 December 1971, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1997 Maharashtra cadre. He holds a B.Tech. degree and an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics. Currently, he serves as Commissioner at Mumbai in the State Tax (Goods and Service Tax) Department since 16 November 2023. His previous roles include Additional Commissioner, Joint Secretary, Member Joint Secretary, Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director, Municipal Commissioner, Private Secretary, District Collector, C E O, S D O, and Assistant Collector. He was awarded the National Gold Medal for e-governance in 2011-12. He is proficient in English, Hindi, Marathi, and Punjabi.
