Asheesh Joshi, born on January 5, 1977, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2006 batch, Uttarakhand cadre. He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Garhwal and an MBA in Marketing from Banaras Hindu University. Currently, he serves as Joint Secretary in the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, New Delhi since January 1, 2026. His extensive experience includes roles such as District Magistrate, Additional Secretary, Director, Secretary (Additional Charge), Managing Director, and Project Director. He is proficient in English and Hindi and remains in active service.
