Asheesh Joshi, born on January 5, 1977, is a 2006 batch IAS officer of the Uttarakhand cadre. He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Garhwal and an MBA in Marketing from Banaras Hindu University. Currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, New Delhi since January 1, 2026, Joshi has held multiple key positions including District Magistrate, Additional Secretary, Director, and Project Director. He has been honored with a Certificate of Honour and is proficient in English and Hindi. He continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
