Dr. Aruna Sharma, a 1982 batch IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, served in various capacities including Secretary at Madhya Pradesh from July 2016 to August 2018 in the Steel and Mines Department. She holds graduate degrees in Chemistry, Development Studies, and English. Throughout her career, she held multiple key positions such as Development Commissioner, Principal Secretary, Joint Secretary, and District Collector. Dr. Sharma received several awards, including the National Award for e-Governance (2015), the Mahatma Gandhi NREGA Award, the Integrated Watershed Management Program Award for Best Practices (2015), and the National Award for Governance. She is now retired.
