Arun Arya, born on 29 September 1961, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1985 Uttarakhand cadre. He holds a Diploma in Business Administration and a Graduate degree in Economics. Over his career, he served in various capacities including Assistant Collector, Project Director, Chief Development Officer, District Collector and Magistrate, Deputy Commissioner, Director, Managing Director, Deputy Secretary, Joint Secretary, Senior Adviser, and Secretary. From 7 December 2006 to 10 December 2010, he was Sr. Public Sector Specialist at the World Bank, Washington DC.
