Anurag Verma, born on 17 July 1969, is a 1993 batch Indian Administrative Service officer of the Punjab cadre. He holds a B.E. degree from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala. Currently serving as Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner in the Revenue and Rehabilitation department since 9 October 2024, Verma has held various key positions including Chief Secretary to Government and Principal Secretary to Government of Punjab. His extensive administrative experience spans roles such as Secretary, Excise & Taxation Commissioner, Managing Director, Commissioner, and Deputy Commissioner. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. Verma continues to serve in the IAS.
