Anurag Agarwal, born on March 11, 1966, is a 1990 batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre. He holds a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kanpur and an M.Tech. in System Management from IIT Delhi. Currently, he serves as Additional Secretary & F A in the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi (since November 6, 2023). His extensive career includes roles such as Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Joint Secretary, Fin Commissioner, Secretary, Managing Director, Chairman and Managing Director, Project Director, Member (Finance), Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Deputy Secretary, and Sub Divisional Magistrate. He is proficient in English and Hindi.
