Throughout her career, she served in various capacities including Chairperson, Principal Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, Managing Director, Commissioner, Joint Secretary, Director, Additional Development Commissioner, Deputy Secretary, Under Secretary, and Assistant Collector. Her most recent designation was Chairperson in Gujarat from May 29, 2004, to November 30, 2006. She also served in the National Authority for Chemical Weapons Convention, Cabinet Secretariat. She is now retired from the Indian Administrative Service.
