Anthony J C Desa, born on October 9, 1956, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1980 Madhya Pradesh cadre. He holds M.A. degrees in History and Economics, and an M.P.A. from Harvard University. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Administrator, Deputy Secretary, Joint Secretary, Principal Secretary, and Additional Chief Secretary. His most recent position was Chief Secretary to the Government of Madhya Pradesh in the General Administration Department, serving from October 1, 2013, to October 31, 2016. Desa’s extensive experience spans multiple administrative and leadership roles within the state government.
