Ansar Alam, born on April 16, 1947, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1989 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds a graduate degree and has served in various capacities including Labour Commissioner, Member Secretary, Director, Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, and Additional Executive Officer. His most recent position was Special Secretary in the Backward Classes Welfare Department from December 1, 2005, to April 30, 2007. Throughout his career, Ansar Alam contributed to multiple administrative roles within the state government before retiring from service.
