Anita Praveen, born on 14 November 1964, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1989 batch, Tamil Nadu cadre. She holds a Graduate degree in Zoology, a Postgraduate degree in Zoology, and a Diploma in Business Administration. Currently, she serves as Secretary in the Department of Food Processing, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, New Delhi (since 1 February 2022). Her extensive career includes roles such as Project Coordinator, Joint Project Administrator, Deputy Secretary, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, Chief Executive Officer, Chairman, Special Secretary, Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, Principal Secretary & Director, Chairperson & Managing Director, Secretary (Expenditure), and Joint Commissioner.
