Animesh Kumar Parashar, born on March 1, 1982, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2010 Bihar cadre. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Physics. Currently, he serves as the Divisional Commissioner at Patna, Bihar, a position he assumed on October 3, 2025. Throughout his career, he has held various roles including District Collector, Managing Director, District Collector and Magistrate, Special Secretary, Sub-Divisional Officer, Assistant Collector and Magistrate, and Municipal Commissioner & CEO. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to serve in the IAS.
