Anil Swarup, born on July 1, 1958, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1981 Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Political Science. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector and Magistrate, Secretary to the Chief Minister, Joint Secretary, Additional Secretary, and Managing Director. His most recent position was Secretary of the School Education and Literacy Department from November 24, 2016, to June 30, 2018. He has also held roles such as Export Commissioner, Inspector General, Special Secretary, and Staff Officer, demonstrating extensive experience across multiple administrative functions.
