Anil Kumar Sagar, born on April 1, 1975, is a 1998 batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering. Currently, he serves as the Principal Secretary at the Department of Handloom and Textile, Khadi and Gramodyog in Lucknow since January 6, 2025. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Commissioner, Secretary, District Magistrate, District Collector, Director, Special Secretary, Chief Executive Officer, and Joint Magistrate. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
