Anil Kumar III, born on 24 September 1974, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1998 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering. Currently, he serves as the Principal Secretary in the Panchayati Raj Department, Uttar Pradesh, a position he has held since 18 February 2026. His extensive career includes roles such as Joint Magistrate, Secretary to Government, Commissioner, Director, District Collector and Magistrate, Special Secretary, Additional Project Director, Staff Officer to Chief Secretary, and Chief Development Officer. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to serve in the IAS.
