Anil Kumar Agarwal, born on 22 September 1956, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1981 West Bengal cadre. He holds a B.Tech. in Electronics from IIT Kanpur, a PG Diploma in Management from IIM Bangalore, and a postgraduate degree from Columbia University. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Secretary, Director General, Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Joint Secretary, Labour Commissioner, District Magistrate, and other administrative roles. His most recent position was Secretary of the Tribal Affairs Department from 8 February 2016 to 30 September 2016.
