Anil Garg, born on August 6, 1971, is a 1996 batch Indian Administrative Service officer from the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.E. in Electronics & Communications. Currently, he serves as Principal Secretary, Chairman, and Managing Director at the Irrigation and Water Resources Department, Lucknow, since July 29, 2020. His extensive career includes roles such as Chief Executive Officer, Commissioner, Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Excise Commissioner, District Magistrate, and Secretary. He has been involved in conducting assembly elections and various administrative functions. Anil Garg is proficient in English, Hindi, and Punjabi and remains in active service.
