Anant Kumar Singh, born on March 6, 1959, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1984 batch of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds an M.Phil. and M.Sc. in Physics, along with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Physics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Secretary, Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor, Principal Secretary, Joint Secretary, Director General, Relief Commissioner, Commissioner, Secretary to the Chief Minister, District Magistrate, and other administrative roles. His most recent position was Secretary of the Rural Development Department from August 10, 2018, to March 31, 2019.
