Anandrao Vishnu Patil, born on 02/02/1974, is a 1998 batch IAS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a B.A. and M.A. from Pune University. Currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, New Delhi since 31/12/2025, Patil has held various positions including Sub Collector, Principal Secretary to Governor, Commissioner, Joint Secretary, Director, Private Secretary, District Collector, Deputy Commissioner, and Additional Collector. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Marathi. Patil continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service, contributing to the governance and administration of Tamil Nadu and the central government.
