Amiya Krishna Chaturvedi, born on 14 November 1946, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1989 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds an LL.B. in Law and a postgraduate degree in Defence Studies. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Magistrate, District Collector and Magistrate, Director, Special Secretary, Secretary Director, and Special Secretary Director. His most recent position was Commissioner Director in the Land Revenue Department, overseeing Census Operations from 8 July 2005 to 30 November 2006.
