Amitabh Verma, born on 16 September 1959, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1982 Bihar cadre. He holds a B.A. Honours in Political Science, a Certificate in German, and a postgraduate degree in Political Science from Delhi University. Throughout his career, Verma served in various capacities including Chairman, Principal Secretary, Departmental Enquiry Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner and District Planning Officer, Joint Secretary, Secretary, Commissioner, Private Secretary, Director, Administrator, District Collector and Magistrate, Deputy Development Commissioner, and Sub-Divisional Officer. His extensive service reflects a diverse administrative experience within the Bihar cadre.
