Dr. Amitabh Rajan, born on January 1, 1955, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1979 Maharashtra cadre. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from JNU Delhi, an M.A. in History from JNU, and a graduate degree in History (Hons) from Bihar University. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Additional Secretary, Resident Commissioner, Principal Secretary & Commissioner, Chairman & Managing Director, Secretary, Commissioner, Director, Deputy Secretary, District Collector, Additional Collector, and SDO.
