Dr. Amit Saini, born on September 6, 1977, is a 2007 batch IAS officer of the Maharashtra cadre. He holds an M.B.B.S. degree from Punjab University, Chandigarh. Currently, he serves as the Commissioner at Maharashtra in the Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department since December 4, 2025. Throughout his career, Dr. Saini has held various positions including Member Secretary, Chief Executive Officer, Joint Commissioner, Collector & District Magistrate, District Collector, Assistant Collector, Supernumerary Assistant Collector, Additional Municipal Commissioner, and Mission Director. He is proficient in English and Punjabi and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
