Amit Kumar Ghosh, born on 29 December 1966, is a 1994 batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds degrees in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Electronics from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. Currently, he serves as the Additional Chief Secretary in the Medical Education Department of Uttar Pradesh since 1 October 2025. His extensive career includes roles such as Principal Secretary, Joint Secretary, Managing Director of UP SIDC, Mission Director, Inspector General (Registration), Commissioner, District Magistrate, District Collector, Special Secretary, Chief Development Officer, Joint Magistrate, and Additional Secretary. He is proficient in Bengali, English, and Hindi.
