Currently serving as the Personal Secretary to the Minister in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Department of Shipping and Waterways, New Delhi since August 21, 2024, Amit has previously held positions including Director, District Collector and District Magistrate, Deputy Development Commissioner, and Sub-Divisional Officer. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
