Amit Dhaka, born on 24 January 1975, is a 2006 batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre. He holds a B.Sc. from Rajasthan University, Jaipur, and an M.B.A. from MD Saraswati University, Ajmer. Currently, he serves as Director at the Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration, Punjab, since 30 June 2023. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Administrative Secretary, Managing Director, Special Secretary to the Chief Minister, Secretary, Chief Administrator, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Joint Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, and Chief Executive Officer. He is proficient in English and Hindi.
