Dr. Amarjit Singh, born on 21 November 1957, is a retired IAS officer from the 1982 Gujarat cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Economics and a graduate degree in Commerce. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Director, Special Secretary, Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, Executive Director, Principal Secretary, Commissioner, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Joint Managing Director, Municipal Commissioner, Deputy District Officer, and Assistant Collector. His most recent role was Independent Director at Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Ltd (SSNNL), Gujarat. He received multiple awards, including the National Silver and Bronze Awards for e-governance and the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration.
