Dr. Amar Singh, born on 26 May 1953, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1981 Madhya Pradesh cadre. He holds postgraduate qualifications in Economics and Medicine (M.B.B.S.). Over his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Additional Collector, Settlement Officer, Sub-Divisional Officer, Deputy Secretary, Director, Additional Secretary, Secretary, Joint Secretary, and Executive Director (Transport). His most recent position was Chairman & Managing Director in Madhya Pradesh from June 2012 to May 2013. He was associated with the Department of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution during his service.
