Alok Tandon, born on 22 September 1962, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1986 Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, a Diploma in Management, and a postgraduate degree in Public Policy from Princeton University. He served as Secretary in the Department of Mines and Minerals from 29 January 2021 to 30 September 2022. Throughout his career, he held various positions including Commissioner, Chairman, Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, Managing Director, District Collector and Magistrate, and several other administrative roles.
