Alok Shekhar, born on April 13, 1970, is a 1994 batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre. He holds a B.Tech. in Civil Engineering and an M.P.A. in Public Administration. Currently, he serves as the Additional Chief Secretary cum-Financial Commissioner at Punjab's Department of Cooperation since March 24, 2025. Throughout his career, he has held numerous positions including Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary to Government, Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, and Sub Divisional Magistrate. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Punjabi and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
