Alok Sheel, born on May 6, 1956, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1982 Kerala cadre. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics, along with postgraduate qualifications in Macroeconomic Policy and Planning and History. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Joint Secretary, Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, and Special Representative. His most recent position was Member Secretary at the Kerala State Planning Board, commencing on March 25, 2015. His extensive experience spans multiple administrative and leadership roles within the government.
