Alok Ranjan Ghosh, born on March 12, 1980, is a 2011 batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre. He holds a B.V.Sc. & A.H. from Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Chennai, and a PG Diploma in Management from Symbiosis. Currently, he serves as Director at the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), New Delhi, since August 3, 2025. His previous roles include Managing Director, Additional Chief Electoral Officer, District Magistrate, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Cane Commissioner, Project Director, and PS to Vice President. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
