Alok Kumar Mukhopadhyay, born on January 19, 1946, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1984 batch of the West Bengal cadre. He has held various positions including Joint Secretary, Additional Executive Officer, District Magistrate, and Director. His most recent role was Director in the Rural Development Department from June 6, 2000, to January 31, 2006. He holds postgraduate degrees in Political Science and Economics, an M.B.A., and a degree in Law. Throughout his career, Mukhopadhyay contributed to the administration of West Bengal until his retirement.
