Alok Gupta, born on October 1, 1971, is a 1996 batch IAS officer of the Rajasthan cadre. He holds a B.Tech. and M.Tech. and is currently serving as Principal Secretary in the Urban Development and Housing Department, Rajasthan, since March 20, 2026. Throughout his career, he has held numerous positions including Principal Secretary, Secretary to Government, Commissioner, Divisional Commissioner, District Collector and District Magistrate, Director, Managing Director, Registrar, Chairman, Additional Chief Secretary, and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
