Akhileshwar Prasad Giri, born on 22 March 1949, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1989 Bihar cadre. A graduate by education, he served in various capacities including Secretary, Additional Director, Additional Secretary, Administrator, District Collector and Magistrate, and Joint Secretary. His most recent designation was Commissioner from 25 March 2008 to 31 March 2009. He also held the position of Director of Census Operations in the Land Revenue Department. Throughout his career, Giri contributed to the administrative framework of Bihar until his retirement.
