Akhilesh Prasad, born on 25 June 1941, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1965 batch, Gujarat cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Chemistry. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Assistant Collector, Under Secretary, OSD to Minister, Deputy Commissioner, District Development Officer, District Collector, Deputy Secretary, Director, Joint Secretary, Deputy Director General, and Commissioner. His most recent position was Managing Director at Ahmedabad, Gujarat, from 1 July 1996 to 30 June 2001.
